a collection of zoological items over 150 years old. comprising 1. 2 x title pages from british butterflies and their transformations hand coloured lithographs, published london 1841. 2. 10 x engraved black and white plates, representations of important personages of 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, associated with the study of zoological subjects. plates include john ray, wilson, lamarck 2 images, baron de greer, sir robert sibbald, rev. dr. walker, pennant signed, werner signed, and william smellie signed. all plates engraved and signed lizars. 3. 10 x hand coloured engraved title pages of the naturalists library all published between 1833 and 1843. titles include british butterflies, natural history of beetles, entomology, the butterfly gem, ornithology vols. 2, 9 11, 12 and 14. foreign butterflies. original antique lithographsengravings, very good condition, with very good colour, clean, loose, one title page has a corner edge crease and one butterfly plate shows small amount of adhesive remnant at edge of top and right hand margins which has dried out and not affecting the image itself. all items are age toned as is usual, no holes or library stamps. note our prices are in australian dollars, there is no hidden reserve price on our auction listings. note multiple purchases attract postage reductions. we only accept paypal payment. powered bycollectible price discount
