classic old hollow wooden surfboard from perhaps the 1950s board is in very good condition with wear in keeping with its age. i have not cleaned or tended to this board in any way-it is as i found it. obviously an application of the appropriate oil or varnish would bring up the grain and appearance very nicely i would expect. it appears to be structurally sound but im no expert on these matters so i highly recommend inspection prior to bidding-certainly there is no sign of any significant damage as far as i can see. board measures 10 feet 2 inches long, 23inches wide at its widest point and 3 inches thick at its thickest end and 1 and a half inches at its narrow end. the board therefore tapers both in thickness and in width. it appears that the rear right hand toerail positioned at the outside is missing since there is only three rails present see pics. the plug at the rear end appears to be made of brass. please be aware thatt the photos form a significant part of the description but please ask any questions if in any doubt about the item. this item is pickup only. i can make the board available to a courier service but i am not williing to prepare the board for transporting, other than making it available to be collected at a mutually convenient time. please keep in mind that you are bidding to buy not to inspect and again inspection is very welcome. i require payment within 3 days of auction end and i prefer direct bank deposit but i am prepared to accept paypal also if absolutely neccessary. no other form of payment is available. thanks for your interest.sporting price discount
