14. dolphins an original collage by robyn kinsela of 3 dolphins the total composition is made from all different types of cloth material. in 1974 after four years of study robyn kinsela graduated with a diploma of industrial design and subsequently received her graduate diploma of education artin 1978. she worked as an industrial designer and then as a graphic artist between 1975 and 1981.her professional exhibiting career started in 1986 when she was invited to exhibit at the craft expo, sydney, centrepoint and she has had many successful exhibitions ever since she has been artist in residence at the canberra school of art, and teaches art at the illawarra institute of technology and the berrima correctional centre. much of robyns work is inspired by landscape and still life which she translates into form, colour, surface patterns and textures. she has won a number of awards, including first prize 2003, alvaro open painting, bdas bowral judge jennifer lamb 2003, nick scali portrait prize, southern highlands regional gallery, bowral 2002, work on paper, bdas gallery, bowral judge david fairbairn 2001 traditional section, liverpool city arts festival, judge wendy sharpe 1993, oil painting at the wn australia awards judge pamela thalben-ball, and has received many highly commended citations, including the berrima district arts society judge gary shead, and the bowral art gallery judge david spatchhurst. she has also produced many commissions, including 83 collages for lindeman island resort, and 240 collages for mariner shores resort. in 1990, 14 of her collages were acquired by john yu for the childrens hospital, westmead. this original collage of 3 dolphins is mounted on acid free board and has an image size 770mmx57mm30inx23inand has an overall size 950mmx730mm39inx29in powered bycollectible decorating sale
