large danish antique cut glass notched stem 1899 this beautiful glass is in very good condition. it is engraved to the front f s 24-12-99, for christmas eve 1899. a similar glass without this engraving can be viewed below. it is described and translated as a danish trophy beer glass. the glass has a notched stem and a cut pattern to the bowl. the stem is large and flat and the rim to the top has been polished with a tiny bevel to both edges. there must have been a tiny nick to the edge at some stage and a further polish was given to buff that nick out. this is shown circled in the photos. this section is very discrete and so shallow it is not seen when looking down on the glass. it has been well done and done a long time ago. the glass stands an impressive 242mm tall and measures 98mm across the top and 90mm across the base. it is a beautiful piece. the glass weighs 480gms. for north american users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches. please note this is a genuine item and not a reproduction. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………… all shipping includes insurance. international buyers are required to use paypal. powered bydecorating decorating
